Risch Dominates Opponents in New Statewide Scientifically Sound Poll

BOISE, ID – A new poll of Idaho voters shows incumbent U.S. Senator Jim Risch holding a commanding, 40-point lead in his re-election race. The results, asking a simple ballot question, reveal an unbiased and clear picture.
If the election for U.S. Senate was held today for whom would you vote?
1. Jim Risch (R ) – 55%
2. David Roth (D) – 15%
3. Todd Achilles (I) – 7%
4. Natalie Fleming (I) – 5%
5. Matt Loesby (L) – 2%
The empirically grounded statewide survey conducted by Peak Insights, a highly reputable polling firm, between June 6-7, 2026, among 500 likely Idaho general election voters, found Risch receiving wide support, 55% in the five-way race. His nearest challenger, a Democrat, garnered only 15%. The down-ballot candidates were revealed to be non-viable, with the Democrat owning a more than 2-to-1 advantage over even the most active independent. The poll’s results confirm what many Idaho and National strategists have indicated: the race for U.S. Senate in Idaho is a safe Republican seat.
