New Poll: Senator Risch Continues to Lead
With just over two weeks to go until the midterm election, a recent statewide survey of likely 2026 general election voters (N=500 live calls; MoE +/-4%; Oct. 13-15, 2026) shows U.S. Senator Jim Risch doubling the vote total of Todd Achilles; and leading up to Election Day, the Senator’s 2:1 lead has stretched to a full 27%. Risch’s wide lead holds even after Democratic candidate David Roth dropped out of the race in an effort to help Achilles on the ballot.

U.S. Senator Risch continues to lead across the state in all media markets and among voters in both
Congressional Districts.
Methodology: The survey was conducted Oct. 13-15, 2026, by Peak Insights. A total of 500 live phone interviews were conducted among a representative sample of likely 2026 general election voters statewide in Idaho with a margin of error of +/-4%.
